Life in 5 Dimensions

In 2002 Amanda had a little 'a-ha' moment in her thinking about some of our anomalous experiences. What would happen if the experience were modeled in 5 dimensions?, she wondered. Little did she know...

In 2003 Amanda took her nascent idea to the Quantum Mind conference as a poster presentation.

Thinking and modeling in 5 dimensions became her addiction, and she has no problem addicting others to this idea. From 2006-2009 Amanda blogged extensively about her ideas for a 5-dimensional world and the physics that might support it.

This research is a work in progress. It's not perfect or complete, and Amanda is not a physicist. But neither has she run out of fuel for her addiction.

Humanism/Transhumanism

Amanda spent some time writing for Transhumanity, a now-defunct online publication of the World Transhumanist Association. Her articles included Consciousness and Advancing Technology and In Today’s World: Turning Science Fiction Into Science Fact.

Amanda is currently blogging her exploration of Humanism.

Cognitive Liberty

Amanda is interested in issues of cognitive liberty, especially as they relate to advances in neurotech and psychopharmacology.

Amanda currently writes about these issues in her blog on Humanism, and they appear in her fictional writing. She has ambitions to do more in this area.

Fiction/Science Fiction

Amanda explores many of her ideas in the realm of fiction. She is sure that there is a great science fiction novel in her somewhere. In the meantime she is trying to sell shorter pieces, and is exploring the idea of ‘performance fiction writing’.

Everything Else

Amanda did her dissertation and doctoral work in the area of eyewitness memory.
